How users shaped the evolution of Audiobook Binder Pro
Fixes for MP3s that report the wrong length, and for accented letters in chapter titles and filenames.
Improved
- The book details panel, the file information, and the audio engine labels are translated and displayed correctly.
Fixed
- Some MP3 files report the wrong length. The progress bar would stall and warn that the export was stuck while it was running fine. The real length is now read from the file itself.
- Chapter titles with letters like Ü, ö or ß no longer come out garbled in the finished audiobook.
- Year and Genre come through from your files instead of being empty.
- Filenames with accented letters sort and match correctly, instead of landing in the wrong order.
The language picker is now on the welcome screen and in Settings.

- Add a short silence before each chapter, so one chapter doesn't run straight into the next. Turn it on in Settings.New and still experimental. Tell us how it sounds.

- The "one file per chapter" option is now called Extract Audio Files, so it's clear when you're taking a book apart instead of building one.
- Extracting per-chapter files now says plainly that those files are not added to Apple Books. Only a single-file audiobook is.
- Tab through the book details form and the field you land on scrolls into view, so nothing stays hidden below the fold.

Work with several chapters at once, and choose a save folder once instead of on every export.

- Select several chapters at once: click to add, shift-click for a range, or ⌘A for all. Then delete them together or drag them to a new position.

Fixed
- Deleting a project now asks first, instead of removing it and its files instantly.

- Split a chapter after import: break a track that came in as one chapter into several from a .txt or .cue list, no re-importing.
- Turn a single long audio file into chapters using a sidecar timestamp file.
- Output filename presets: Title, Author – Title, Title – Author, or Series – Title.
- Keep your Mac awake while you step away during long exports, and hear a sound when they finish.Your display may still dim or turn off; the export keeps running. Closing the lid puts your Mac to sleep, so leave it open.

- Import an existing M4B, or any chaptered file, and edit its chapters, metadata, and cover, then export again.
- Export to M4A as well as M4B.
- Import video (MKV, MP4, MOV, AVI and more). The audio track is pulled out automatically.
- Read more input formats: Ogg, Opus, WMA, APE, and WavPack.
- Split a long book into parts by duration or size, always cut at chapter boundaries.
